Vice President - Rick Davis (KD5UVA)
Rick brings to JARS a long and successful history of leadership in amateur radio emergency operations. As a key player in the formation and operation of a highly successful SKYWARN and Amateur Emergency Communications program in East Texas. Rick is no stranger to emergency operations, having participated deeply in the recovery of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster in 2003. He has also served another club as a weekly net controller. Rick knows what it takes to build a highly skilled and deployable organization. Rick is currently employed by a global manufacturer of measuring equipment in the municipal water treatment and distribution industry. Rick holds a Technician Class HAM License and is both SKYWARN and ICS qualified.
Treasurer - Gary Pannell (WA5FWC)
Gary's technical expertise is an invaluable part of the JARS team. As an amateur radio operator for over forty five years, Gary has a very diverse background in radio communications and has participated actively with SKYWARN and RACES for several years. Gary maintains an extensive array of radio antennas and has a vast and detailed knowledge of antenna design and construction. Gary owns and operates an electronics repair company. Gary's other interests include both R/C and full sized airplanes as a pilot and restorer of over 15 aircraft. He currently holds an Extra Class HAM License and is SKYWARN qualified.
