Field Day (June 2009)

Thanks to everyone who participated for making our second Field Day a wonderful event. Special thanks go to the City of Burleson for being such a gracious host for the event. We competed in Class 2F and placed 1st in North Texas, 1st in West Gulf Division and 13th nationwide. Great job to everyone!

What an outstanding effort! We had successes beyond what we could have ever thought possible. Here are some of the highlights:

• A 40 meter 2 element Quad
• Prospective hams came to learn about radio
• Contacts made on 10, 15, 20, 40, and 80m
• CW, SSB and PSK31 Contacts Made
• New friends and a great test of our operating capabilities

Thanks again everyone for helping to make Field Day 2009 one we will never forget, to celebrate this occasion even before celebrating the club's Second birthday is more than any of us could have dreamed of. We appreciate the contributions of all those who made it possible. We are already looking forward to 2010!
