Field Day (June 2010)

Thanks to everyone who participated for making our third Field Day a wonderful event. Thanks again to the City of Burleson for being such a gracious host for the event, and to the Burleson Star for media publicity and coverage of our Field Day. Great job to everyone! - WA5JRS 2F NTX

Here are the Score Details:

We were First Place in North Texas, and in the Gulf Coast Division, and 12th Place nationally out of 66 2F stations participating. What an outstanding effort! We were first once again in our ARRL Section and Division, and kept about the same national rating. Here are some of the highlights:

• A news article in the Burleson Star to publicize the event
• A visit by a reporter from the Burleson star during the event, and a follow up article afterward
• Prospective hams came to learn about Amateur radio
• 2 Element 40 Meter Quad
• 2 Element 10, 15, 20 Meter Quad
• Contacts made on 10, 15, 20, 40, and 80m
• SSB and Digital Contacts
• The making of new friends and a great test of our operating capabilities
